Myth: Feminism is a fight against men.

Fact: No, it’s a fight against patriarchal and dominating thoughts.

Myth: Feminism is a fight against freedom gifted to men.

Fact: No, it’s a fight against inequality between freedom of men and women,

Myth: Feminism is a fight against the strength that a man’s body can have.

Fact: No, it’s a fight against the body shaming that mostly faced by women.

Myth: Feminism is a fight against marrying a successful man.

Fact: No, it’s a fight against repudiation of high pay in case of a woman.

Myth: Feminism is a fight against the customs and traditions of arranged marriage.

Fact: No, it’s a fight against the perfectly inelastic demand curve set for the family of the female gender.

So the truth is, Feminism is not a fight against men, but it’s a fight against regressive thoughts.

  1. True. I find the word feminism a bit misguiding, really, and it seems to me the denomination pushes people who do not know much about the concept away. I think equalism would be a more productive word in such hence. What do you think?

    You have truly defined what feminism is. Feminism does not go against anyone- it simply seeks to redefine what society has shaped as what it means to be a woman.
