The Rhythm of My Life

The rhythm of my life had been through various trough & crests,

before you entered in my life,

where I was singing in melancholy,

and only the critiques were listening, to let me down.

The rhythm of my life still goes through high and low notes,

but now you are there to listen to my words and to rise me up when I am down.

So my heart is blissful and my song has become mellifluous.

This is the epiphany of musical journey of our real lives where two incomplete rhythms complement each other and complete a beautiful song.

Self-guided tour for spending the weekend in Melbourne

I had not been to many countries but viewed many locations in photographs and after being in Australia for more than a year, I found that this country is a combination of every sort of place a traveler could fantasize for, from his bucket list. It has islands, beaches, mountains, landscapes and beautiful cityscapes of architectural buildings. Till now I have explored various states in Australia like New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland while living in Sydney and I feel that I have seen many countries just in this single continent. I felt like the dream of maundering at places which we had seen in Yash Chopra movies of Bollywood have come true now….he.. he. My Indian readers will definitely understand what I mean and for others, Yash Raj Chopra is one of the famous directors who made movies of the romance genre in Bollywood and he used to shoot his movie and songs at some beautiful locations all around the world. One of the movies is Salaam Namaste that had been shot in Melbourne.

Anyways coming back to the point, in Melbourne if you are planning to spend a weekend or two nights and you have no idea from where to start from, you can surely follow non-exhaustive self-guided tour which includes a plethora of walk and some transportation by train and trams too. For traveling by train and trams, Myki card is required which is available at every 7/11 store and it can be recharged as per convenience.

Melbourne City: Melbourne sensational cityscape is dotted with amazing architecture include graffiti art buildings, neoclassical facades and contemporary towers. So after landing in Melbourne, there are five top attractions in and around the city which a person should visit.

a. Brighton Beach: I have seen many beaches in Australia but this beach is different not because of the beauty of waves, but due to its colored bathing boxes as it can be seen in the picture. For reaching here take a direct train from flinder’s street station till Brighton if staying in CBD and you will find the beach opposite to the station road, once you will step out. Start walking from the beach to colored bathing boxes and you will surely enjoy the walk on the bay side.

2. St.Kilda Beach: St.Kilda beach is one of the most popular beaches in Melbourne and has a very beautiful coastal walk. After walking from the St.Kilda pier and passing through St.Kilda Marina, a beautiful landscape with tiny hilltop comes. The view from that point is worth watching and it shed tiredness from the body. The shore of this beach is appropriate and favorite for all sports activities.

And if you are a lover of sweet goodies then walk towards Acland street and you will find many European bakery shops for eating different sort of cakes and macarons.

Here  parachutes can be viewed amidst clouds and in downside road people do cycling and skating.

Three variety of cakes we ate …

3. Southgate bridge and walk across the Yarra river (See more in less time):

This is the best place to spend an evening in the city. Melbourne has a unique beauty of trams as a mode of transport in the city and sometimes transit by tram is free if you are traveling in a free zone where you don’t need to touch on and off Myki card. Take a tram till shrine of remembrance, visit it and start walking back from there, you will pass through many attractions of the city from Swanston street to Flinder’s lane like Art Center, National Gallery of Victoria, Botanical Garden, Flinder’s street station, Federation Square, and St.Paul Cathedral church. You can also enjoy city views on traditional horse cart if you don’t prefer to walk.

Take the downstairs from Swanston street and start walking towards Southgate bridge, the one which can be seen in mid of Yarra river. During night this view become mesmerizing in sizzling lights.

Old Trams looks more traditional and classy to enjoy the ride

4. Hosier Lane Art and other attractions: Mostly tourists prefer to stay in hotels and apartments in and around CBD as it is center of all attractions, transport modes, and popular rooftop bars. Collins Street, Bourke Street, and King’s street are the most popular ones as they are near to every sort of restaurants, tram and railway stations. So either take a walk depending on the area you are staying or take a tram till flinder’s lane and move towards Hosier-lane. Even if you are not an art lover, I am sure you will fall in love with this Graffiti artwork and every art has some depiction in it which keeps you engaging.

After completing Hosier Lane move back towards Flinder’s lane and walk, you will find various other attractions on your way.

5. Melbourne Star Observation Wheel: Have you ever dreamt of going to London Eye and looking city from there? If yes then don’t forget to go for a ride here. It’s an astonishing feeling of gazing at the city while standing or sitting on the deck which is rotating and when it reaches on the top, the view becomes incredible. I will suggest for online boking as you can easily avail a great percent of discount

Melbourne Cricket Ground: This is an extra option especially for the cricket lovers or those who wanna explore the history and world of cricket. For this a tour can be booked offline at the stadium itself, only you need to check its availability online for a particular date.

How to increase traffic on your word press blog?

When I started my blog, little I knew that a blog is not just for penning down the words, rather it’s for spreading those words to millions of people too. But how it needs to be done? I didn’t have any idea about it and didn’t know to whom should I ask. So I have learned my lessons in a hard way. Nowadays, I get emails and messages from some new bloggers asking about advice on getting traffic on site. Based on my experience, here are the following tips of advice, which may help :

1.Understand your motive:

When you start the blog, first of all, you need to understand the purpose of the writing. What message you want to convey to the readers? Do you just want to make them laugh by writing some hilarious stuff or want to spread positivity? Whatever be the motive, it must be clear to you. If it is not, then ask yourself this question, write the answer on a paper for your understanding and proceed.

2. Word Press Themes:

I would thank Word Press for offering themes from free to premium, due to which if anyone can’t afford the premium one, at least the person has the provision of choosing the free theme. Here my suggestion is, choose the theme for your website wisely because color and background show the perspective of the blog and intrigues the readers.

The font is very important for the presentation of a blog. While writing, focus on the font type, because if the font of the body would be bigger than heading, definitely it will look absurd.

Start interacting with other bloggers of your genre in the blogger community by reading and commenting on their posts as that will give you more clarity to thrive your blog.

5.Social Media:

Spread the word on all the social networking sites without having the fear of being judged. Let your friends and family know about your work as they may help you in spreading the word further. Social media will expand your reader base and this will surely help you in getting more traffic on the website as well.

Be punctual in writing and make a schedule of publishing the posts. It can be once in a day, or twice in a week or thrice in a month as per your convenience and demand of your audience. When people look forward to reading more of your posts, you need to take care of their curiosity and enthusiasm.

7.Have Patience:

Patience is the main key to thriving the path of success. Some people may get an impressive number of views and followers within a few months and some may take more than a year to reach there, it’s all about time zone, sincerity, and determination. Don’t lose hope, you never know when you become the star. Just follow your passion and endure it with the implementation of different strategies.

Scars can’t be mend

Make Love Not Scars- nidokidos_group (1)-744240

Love was immense when it started between them,

entirely sweet and magical.

Soon it turned abusive, dominant;

she started frightening with his actions.

She thought to part their ways,

but this stomped his ego, and he decided to take the revenge.

And it all just ended with her burnt face.

Love is not enforceable, but the ego is.

Not only he could attack her, even she has that guts. But remember, none of them has the right to do it.

Working woman or homemaker-Both are worth praising

“Dear daughter, I want you to become a working woman and be independent because a homemaker like me who don’t earn money, always get in ears a word called liability”, a mother said to her daughter.

“Mom, the hard work that you had put in our upbringing and making this home beautiful is nowhere less than the effort I will put after being a working women or Papa had put to make our life comfortable and the words you have heard were because of patriarchal thinking  and you know what, you can start  earning now as well,” the daughter said.

“But my time has gone and I can’t work for someone at this age.”

“Mom, age is just a number, it’s time to give exposure to your talent of creativity which is not at all difficult in this world of digitization.”

To all the mothers-“Let your age be just a number and not an obstacle in acheiving your dreams.”

Shouldn’t We Celebrate Men’s and Women’s Day Together?

What all a woman can do? A question raised by many.

As a mother, she does multitasking,

from giving birth to nurturing.

As a sister, she fights and cares for her brother,

from school to studying, career to marriage.

As a wife, she becomes another mother,

from cooking to washing, from loving to guiding, from office to accounting.

As a daughter, she can do all when  required,

from business handling to car driving, from medication to home buying.

As a friend, she becomes a pillar of strength,

from consoling to encouraging.

What all a man can do? Has it ever been a question though?

As all men are unlike, likewise all women are not the same.

What actually should be treated equal, is the virtue of being human.

Because women just don’t need a single day to celebrate their power of existence.

Every day is ours.

So respecting men’s and women’s equality and existence,

rather than celebrating Women’s Day and Men’s Day individually,

this is the time to celebrate World Humanity Day.

Friend as Zafu

“I am really sad because of all the difficulties I am facing in my life. I am not getting promoted, my salary doesn’t justify the hard work I put in my work, I need to buy a home which I can’t now and sometimes I feel like my life has no motive,” He told his friend.

“You know you should thank God for capabilities you have and you can always find other options to get what you want, sometimes time doesn’t work according to our effort, but that doesn’t mean that we get anxious and stop trying. Also when you feel that you don’t have a motive in life, try to help those who don’t have the education to find work, who can’t afford a place to buy on rent even and who don’t have food to eat,” his friend said.

This is just a piece of fiction but I think  if every friend, parent, teacher, boss will act as zafu, helping his/her friend/colleague/child in realizing the importance of their life by showing them the facets of positivity when they would need it most then stress, depression and suicide like terms will be rarely heard.

Thought of the day :

Whenever you feel that you are the most unhappy person on earth, look around yourself and you will find people who have many more reasons of grief than you, but still, they manage to smile and look forward.

A Poem on Dementia: Spread the word…

When I wander…………………………………

don’t tell me to come and sit down;

wander with me,

it may be because I am hungry, thirsty, need the toilet,

or, maybe I just need to stretch my legs.

When I call for my mother………(even though I’m ninety!)

don’t tell me she has died;

reassure me, cuddle me, ask me about her.

It may be that I am looking for the security that my mother

once gave.

When I shout out,

please don’t ask me to be quiet……or walk by.

I am trying to tell you something,

but have difficulty telling you what

be patient…………try to find out,

I may be in pain……….

When I become agitated or appear angry,

Please don’t reach for the drugs first;

I am trying to tell you something,

It may be too hot….. too bright……too noisy,

Or maybe it’s because I am missing my loved ones.

Try to find out……first……

When I don’t eat my dinner or drink my tea……

It may be because I’ve forgotten how to;

Show me the what to do….remind me,

It may be that I just need to hold my knife and fork

I may know what to do then………

When I push you away when you trying to help me……,

A wash, perhaps, or getting dressed.

Maybe it’s because I have forgotten what you

 have said;

Keep telling me what you are doing…….,

Over and over and over…………

Maybe others will think you’re the one that needs the help!

With all my thoughts and maybe’s,

Perhaps it will be you…..who reaches my thoughts……

Understands my fears and will make me feel safe…..

Maybe it will be you…..that I need to thank

If only I knew how……………..

Maybe, just Maybe………

P.S: Dementia is a general term used to describe symptoms of a large group of illness which cause a decline in person’s cognition and affects activities of daily living, memory and social skills. It can happen to anyone but it is most common in the age of 60 years or above.

Care for your elders, respect them and their problems.Your love can be the best cure for them.

Three clichés that need to change about Valentine’s Day

P.S: Don’t hate valentine’s day by thinking that you don’t  fit in to criteria of its celebration instead include it in to your list of festivals as it will give you one more day of celebration along with the people whom you love. We have only one life and it’s too short to hate any single day.

So break the stereotype and live your life to the fullest.

“Never let the smile fall off from your face.”

A needle of the clock could be replaced but time can’t.

Friends could be replaced but best friends can’t.

Partners could be replaced but true love can’t.

A figure could be replaced but the body can’t.

The face could be replaced but beauty can’t.

Employees could be replaced but loyalty can’t.

Work could be replaced but perfection can’t.

Materials could be replaced but their memories can’t.

House could be replaced but moments of home can’t.

And it goes on.

P.S: Beans of word “replacement” has been spilled, “Not everything in this world could be replaced, many are irreplaceable.”

An oblivious love

She came to the bus stop for catching a bus to her home

without having an idea of a turning point in her life.

He was standing next to her; she asked him the time of the next bus.

And it ended as a chapter of love in their life.
